Restaurant Review: Famiglia Mancini and Mangiare
Friday night. No plans. I asked a friend out, let's go to that awesome Italian restaurant - Famiglia Mancini. But which one? What do you mean by which one, is there more than one? There are many of them, is a whole street. Mmm alright, let's see.

Getting there, what we see is a charming street, fully decorated by colorful mini-lamps, water fountain, live Jazz coming from inside the restaurants, people walking and sitting by the street. Were we still in São Paulo?

This was one of the Famiglia Mancini restaurants, with live music - we enjoyed some clandestine Jazz sitting outside the restaurant after dinner. For real: walk around the street, sit outside and enjoy the night breeze, get a coffee. It is magical. I guarantee. But first about dinner..
We decided for the most traditional - and crowded - restaurants of them all. Waiting list of one hour approximately. We picked a Piedmont wine and some cheese (I strongly recommend the Parmesan cheese), and it was just delightful. We could have called the night out only there and it would have been already awesome. The service was super friendly and helpful.

Badass gigantic cheese.

Amazing olives. They tasted like heaven.
Once we got our table, I got lost in the menu with so many choices but we settled for Ravioli with salsa napolitana. Oh my Lord. It was exquisite. Everything about it. I was having a foodgasm already when my friend says why not dessert?
The most perfect Tiramisu of my life. Tears. Slow clap. A bow. Thank you Universe for being so kind and generous. That Grand Finale was too much for me to take it. Sorry, I have no pictures, the mouth was faster than the camera.
Awesome night. The end.
Ps. The servings are meant for two people, but still I saw everybody taking leftovers home - and so did we!! Check how cute:

Another day...

Next stop was "Mangiare". In my interpretation: an Argentinian restaurant disguised as Italian. I was told by one of the lovely waiters that the chef was now Argentinian, so that would make sense. My companionship said that the place had previously been a factory, and that is why is has an industrial look, yet sophisticated and somehow cozy. The place is huge, with big tables, but empty, even more for a Friday night!
(Sorry, my picture of the inside was faible, so I got another one from the internet just to give you a better idea. The upper picture is mine, as you can probably tell) .

They make their own bread and focaccias at the restaurant which is served at the couvert with carbonata, olives paste and olives. I could not stop myself eating it!

We ordered a Fiorentina Black Angus Steak, which for me was all prepared in the Argentinian way, even the seasoning. We were not very impressed and we were discussing if rather the restaurant was losing its Italian identity, but the steak ended up growing in our concept as we ate and we decided that it could be a contemporary Italo-Argentinian fusion.

So being said, the main motif of going to Mangiare was the dessert: the Tiramisu. After eating the tiramisu at Famiglia Mancini, I started obsessing about it, taking place of my previous obsession: cheesecake.
And I was told that the best Tiramisu in town might be the one at Mangiare. One very important thing for you to note: it is in on "eat all you want" basis. The waiter brings a gigantic bowl of Tiramisu and keeps feeding your plate until you say "stop".

Super fun, isn't it? But as good as it is, I think that I still prefer the Famiglia Mancini one.
Thanks for reading this! Hope I turned you into a Tiramisu lover as well! haha
See you soon!!
